He’s finally here! Our latest creation is a free Dobby Amigurumi pattern! Dobby is finally free!
In case you would like to make Dobby some friends (he’d be so happy with Harry) there are also free patterns available for many other Harry Potter characters.
I am planning on making a series of these Amigurumi dolls from pop culture, so if you would like to request a pattern for a certain character (I’ll do my best!) please let me know by commenting below. I already have the Weasley’s and Luna lined up – watch this space!
Please also take a look at our other Amigurumi patterns…

For the ears I don’t get where I have to SC 2 on the second row, then 3 sc in the top chain? Is this a mistake or misprint?
Row 1: 4 ch
Row 2: 2 sc, 3 sc in top chain, 2 sc down other side of chain, turn (7)
Thanks for your question! I’ve uploaded a photo tutorial of the ears (it’s linked in the pattern where the instructions are for the ears and also here https://daisyandstorm.com/dobbys-ears/) Hope this helps!
This may sound like a stupid question but how do I fit the pillow slip top
I am having trouble with keeping the head from rippling during the initial increases. I have tried changing the hook size and changing the yarn too. Any recommendations?
Mine all curl too when I’m making them, but when you stuff them they turn out fine – it allows the head to look more rounded when filled.
It will ripple but when I started crocheting the 8 rows of sc 48 it straightened mine out .also stuffing it did too.
Your pattern is great and I thank you so much. Making for a friend I’ve made the ears. How do I show them pointing out the same. Is one supposed to be showing with wrong side outward and the other right side outward? I’m a little stumped at this part. Thanks fir your help.
Hi Debby, I did use them with one wrong side out and the other right side out. Hope you have a great weekend 😊
Silly as it sounds, I’m having trouble with the boot….it just doesn’t make sense and doesn’t come out right for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Marcia, I’ve added a photo tutorial that will hopefully help – here’s the link https://daisyandstorm.com/dobby-sock-photo-tutorial/
