FINISHED SIZE:
Size depends on hook and yarn weight. The following are a guide to sizes, however you can use any yarn weight as long as you use a hook small enough to give the right tension (at least two sizes smaller than the recommended hook size for that yarn).
- 2.75 mm hook and dk/light worsted weight yarn – 16 cm/6.3 in
- 3.00 mm hook and dk/light worsted weight yarn – 23 cm/9 in
- 3.00 mm hook and worsted weight yarn – 24 cm/9.5 in
MATERIALS:
- Yarn in dark brown, light brown, flesh, light blue, dark blue, red, yellow and light yellow
- Crochet hook
- Safety eyes (can be embroidered)
- Stuffing
You can use any yarn and crochet hook combination that gives you good tension. Normally this would be a hook around two sizes smaller than that recommended on the yarn label. For the Doctor I used a 2.75 mm hook with 8ply/DK/Light Worsted Weight acrylic yarn.
Crochet abbreviations (US terminology):
sc – single crochet
dec – decrease
inc – increase
blo – crochet through back loops only
sl – slip stitch
dc – double crochet

The numbers in brackets at the end of each round indicate how many stitches you should have at the end of the round

Hello,
I really love receiving your patterns by email!
Do you think you can make a Jane Austen doll series?
🙂
Thank you I am so glad you enjoy my patterns! Jane Austen is a fabulous idea – I’ll add them to my list
Jane Austen – yes please 😘 love your patterns – just found you – looking forward to following x
Thank you! Jane Austen characters are on my list – are there any in particular you would like to see?
Well, since you asked!
I believe we could start with Jane…
And as a second option try Elizabeth Bennet, Mr. Darcy, etc…
Hi…I think there might be a mistake in this pattern….When you get to the Torso part, after you have joined the legs and done round 2….it says Change to Light Blue from round 3 onwards…I think that should be Change to Dark Blue (for her jumper) .Other wise her arm colour blue won’t match her top. Hope you don’t mind me pointing it out…Thanks …Joan
Thanks Joan, much appreciated! I’ll fix that up right now 😊
Hi…sorry it’s me again……I’ve done all of the Doctor and her coat…but I’ve got a problem with the Hair now (sorry)…..The pattern goes through to Round 7..then Rounds 8 and 9 are missing ….and it jumps to round 10…..(I tried to just carry on through but the hair didn’t turn out right and I can’t work out what rows 8 and 9 would be) Thanks…..Joan
Thanks, Joan 🙂 There should be two more rounds of 30 sc – I’ve fixed it up now. Sorry about that and thanks for pointing it out
Thank you so much……you must think I’m a right pain LOL …but on the plus side once I’ve finished the Doctor I’m going to have a go at Ron & Hermione (to go with the Harry that I’ve already made.) I do love your patterns they are so original…thank you so much for taking the time to do them 🙂
Not at all – you help me make the patterns better for everyone by letting me know where the errors are 😊 so glad you like them!
