You will need a small amounts of yarn in brown and yellow and a crochet hook that gives good tension (I used a 3 mm hook and 8ply/DK yarn).
Using brown yarn
Round 1: make a magic ring and sc 6 into the ring
Round 2: sc inc in every stitch (12)
Round 3: sc inc in every stitch (24)
Round 4: change to yellow and slip stitch every stitch through back loops only
Round 5: (sl in back loop of next stitch, ch 5, hdc in second stitch from hook, dc, dc, tr) 24 times
Fasten off.
